Review:
At first viewing, I remember not liking this movie much simply because of the ending, if you've seen it you know why. There are very few stories and I mean a few, either told by TV show, books or movies that you can have an ending like this and it not come off as a very bad negative thing. Although I have to say that watching this movie again has made me appreciate it alot more. I feel watching this movie again that it ranks up there with movies such as Gladiator, where the same type of ending occurs, yet you feel it was appropriate and not at all awful. I admit to seeing the alternate ending, which can be seen on the DVD, and I do like it a little better yet it still doesn't have the same type of impact as the original.
Honestly, this movie has a similar type of zombie/vampire type vibe at times, yet the creatures do not distract from the brilliant character that Will helped us come to know during the course of the story. The storyline is exellant as is the special effects, eleborate sets and the beautiful dog, Sam, but really nothing can stop the fanstatic acting of Will Smith. Of all the movies Will Smith has done over the years, I truly believe that this is one that he will become the Legend for.
I would recommend this movie to anyone who likes, holy crap what was that type movies and real, hard core, male emotions. Romantic's and comedy buff's may not enjoy this movie as much as others, but you should still watch it at least once because the entire movie is a work of art.
Thank you for reading,
